*Loki comes into the bar, still seeming a bit catatonic from the discovery he made last night. He gets a cup of irish coffee from the bar and sits in a dark booth. Alone. Will he always be alone?*

*Loki enters the bar looking around. he speaks loudly to the bar in general*

Anyone seen David?!

The bar door opens, and Bartleby standing in it, holding a limp, blonde body in his arms. There's a heavily pregnant woman leaning against him, and when the door opens she gives a small cry and begins to slump to the floor. Bartleby can't catch her - he's cradling Charlie's corpse.

He looks around hopelessly.

David enters Milliways wearing a birthday party hat and carrying a noisemaker between his lips like an unlit cigarette.

He brings with him a cake with 115 candles on it and some bottles of soda.

He sits at a table, and looks half melancholy, half happy.

David Talbot is celebrating his first birthday in 14 years.

David tries to walk up the stairs.

David can't.

So he shouts up them instead.

"LOKI!"

*Loki walks in from the staff quarters, hair still a little wet, looking very cleaned up, but rather sad.

He looks around and sees who he was looking for. He walks over.*

David's sitting in a booth.

Perhaps he's been there a while.

The fresh cup of coffee and the bagel says not, but one can never tell.

David walks through the front door again, with two bags in his hands. He walks upstairs, ignoring the party-organisation-actual-party-whatever, and dumps the bags in his own guest bedroom.

Walking back downstairs, he sees Loki, and heads that way, shoulders back and head held high.

David sits at a booth, having sneaked in without drawing attention to himself.

There is a crystal in a handkerchief sitting in front of him; he doesn't want to touch it directly.

His fingers worry the bracelet Kestrel gave him, and he looks somewhat pensive.
